Terms of Service
Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Market Scanner platform (the "platform", "we", "us"). By creating an account, accepting these Terms at the consent gate, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When the changes are material, we will record a new version and ask you to accept the updated Terms before you continue to use the platform.
Nature of the service
Market Scanner produces algorithmic analyses of public market data. The outputs (BUY/SELL/HOLD verdicts, multi-stage analyst-style reports) are the product of an automated multi-agent pipeline that consumes publicly-available market data and applies generic, non-personalised models. The platform does not provide investment advice or personal recommendations. Users are solely responsible for any decisions they take.
Not investment advice
The platform is an analytical tool, not a financial adviser, broker, or dealer. Nothing produced by the platform constitutes:
- investment, legal, tax, or accounting advice;
- a personal recommendation or a solicitation to buy, sell, or hold any security;
- a financial promotion or an offer of any regulated product.
Algorithmic outputs may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Markets are volatile and past performance does not predict future results. You should obtain independent professional advice before making any investment decision and you act on the platform's outputs entirely at your own risk.
Eligibility
By creating an account you represent that:
- you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms;
- you are not a resident of, ordinarily resident in, or located in any country, region, or territory subject to comprehensive sanctions imposed by the United States, the European Union, or the United Kingdom; and
- you are not a person with whom dealings are restricted under any applicable sanctions or export-control regime.
The platform screens signups against sanctions and screening lists. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate any account found, or reasonably believed, to be in breach of this clause, and may decline to provide the service where doing so would expose us to legal risk.
Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account.
Bring-your-own-key (BYOK)
The platform operates on a bring-your-own-key model. To run analyses you supply your own API keys for the third-party large-language-model and market-data providers the platform integrates with.
- You are responsible for your use of those third-party services, including any fees, rate limits, and usage terms those providers impose on you directly.
- You represent that you are authorised to use any key you add and that doing so does not breach the relevant provider's terms.
- The platform transmits requests to those providers on your behalf so that your analyses can run. It is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of those third-party services.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable sanctions, securities, or market-abuse law;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform, other accounts, or its underlying systems;
- scrape, overload, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the platform, or circumvent its rate limits or access controls;
- misrepresent the platform's outputs as regulated advice, or resell or redistribute them in a way that does so.
Publishing reports
When a user opts to share an algorithmic output via the publish flow, they authorise the platform to make that output available to other users. The platform records the publishing action; the published output itself contains no user-supplied commentary or other personal data of the publisher.
Published reports remain subject to these Terms, including the disclaimers above. Publishing does not transfer ownership of the underlying market data and does not make the output investment advice.
Moderator access to reports
Authorised platform staff and moderators may review your reports and account data where necessary to operate the service — including to handle refund and feedback requests, monitor the analysis queue, ensure the quality and security of the platform, and prevent abuse. This review may include reports you have kept private. Moderator activity is recorded in an internal audit log, and moderators identify your account by an internal identifier rather than your name or email.
We do not share or sell your reports to other users. The only way a report becomes visible to other users is if you publish it to the library through the publish flow described above. Internal moderator review to operate the service is not "sharing" for this purpose and does not make a private report available to other users.
Intellectual property
The platform, its software, design, and branding are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law. Subject to these Terms, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the platform for its intended purpose. Underlying market data is owned by its respective providers.
Paid features and billing
Certain features may be offered on a paid basis. Where they are, applicable prices, billing cycles, and refund terms will be presented to you before you are charged, and payments will be processed by a third-party payment processor. Token-based usage costs, where shown, reflect internal accounting and are described at the point of use.
Disclaimer of warranties
The platform is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that its outputs will be accurate or reliable.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the platform disclaims any liability for losses — including investment losses, lost profits, or lost data — arising from reliance on the algorithmic outputs or from use of, or inability to use, the platform. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the platform, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the platform or its users. You may stop using the platform and delete your account at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and intellectual-property terms) will survive.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms. Material changes take effect once published and accepted at the consent gate; continued use after that point constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction specified by the platform operator, and disputes are subject to the courts of that jurisdiction. For questions about these Terms, contact the platform operator using the details published on the platform.
